Jirapa: Mobile Money Vendor Killed, 1 Injured by Armed Robbers

Armed robbers have attacked and killed a mobile money vendor named Baba Ene-wuure Emmanuel popularly known as “Ghana Man” in Jirapa in the Upper West Region after the victim and his friend closed from daily business. This happened on Thursday night at about 9:30pm.

The incident has left another with a broken leg after the victim Emmanuel and his friend name unknown were attacked together by the robbers. It is unclear yet the sum of money and other valuables taken from the two but the second victim is responding to treatment at an undisclosed health facility.

Meanwhile, confirming the incident to http://www.myradiowaa.com, Inspector Gideon Boateng, Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Police Service, Upper West Regional Police command, revealed that the incident took place at about 9:30pm and some amount of money was taken away by the robbers adding that, the police has since commenced investigation into the matter.
